Usually during small talk or even when friends catch up with each other, a common topic to dance around is whether or not you and/or I have a significant other. I don’t know what it is that makes that topic so interesting but it comes up in nearly every conversation if person a and person b haven’t talked in awhile. I think it’s a bit invasive if you ask me. Sure, I could tell you, but
1. I’m probably not interested in who you’re seeing IF you’re seeing someone and
2. Since I stated reason number 1, I don’t mind keeping my business to myself either cause you probably don’t care enough to care
I’d much rather hear about how YOU’RE doing than listen (and if required, give advice) about your love life.
